Fleeting Stars

(translation/version of Estrellas Fugaces)

Like fleeting stars
running swiftly through space:
You & I.
So vast is the distance
between two comets
that the attraction is weak,
almost null …

… In a frenzied tumble,
we advance toward the same point
in the cosmos: …

… We explode!
We detonate and unite …

… Making us one:
Bright Star, eternally…
