Page Four

Love, Death & Beyond

We’ve set ourselves as seals upon our hearts and lives,
but floods of darkness dawned and the waters’ forceful rise
eclipsed my waning breath from you and veiled my fainting eyes.
The mournful torrents of longing sorrow could never quench our love’s
ascending flight nor break with silence the flutter of its doves;
’cause in the end, you and I, we shall embrace forevermore:
our lips and kisses wet as waters’ flow on the joyful night
when love shall seal our hearts and lives once more.
